The Mid City Artists (MCA), of Washington DC, are looking for Artists who want to be a part of the 12th year of, and future, Open Studios which add a great splash of culture to the Nation’s Capital. MCA an art collective opens their studio doors twice a year. MCA invites the public to explore and interact in an intimate setting by offering visitors a rare portal into the artists’ creative habitat.

Who are the Mid City Artists? They are a diverse and talented group of professional artists who have come together for the purpose of promoting their art and the Dupont/Logan neighborhoods of Washington DC. Twice each year, member artists open their doors to visitors. Patrons discover painting, photography, sculpture, glass, mixed media, prints and much more.

When is Mid City Open Studios? This spring, MCA Open Studios is Friday, May 1st – Sunday, May 3rd. Hundreds of people come through their doors over the course of an Open Studio weekend and in the lead up to Open Studios, they get over 15,000 views on their website.

Where is Mid City? Host to some of the city’s restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, interior design shops and fashion boutiques, the Mid City corridor is a thriving destination for the arts in DC. Roughly centered between Dupont Circle on the West and 9th Street NW to the East and stretching from U Street NW to L Street NW to the South, the area crosses a number of neighborhoods including Dupont, Shaw, and Logan.

Requirements of being part of Mid City Artists? You must live or have a studio within our boundaries and must be willing to open your doors to the public during Open Studios weekend.
