Event: Saturday, October 29 from 9am to 4pm


The Mural Work Day Event will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9am-4pm at Suitland High School. Members of the community will complete the mural that will hang at Bradbury Heights Elementary School.

The event will kick off at 9 am with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by Radio One Personalities, the Prince George’s County Executive team, representatives from Path To Greatness and other community dignitaries. Throughout the day, children from the community and event attendees will be painting the mural and participating in a variety of fun activities that will be provided.

Prince George’s County Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative (TNI), the Prince George’s County Arts and Humanities Council, the Path to Greatness Foundation and Radio One Washington DC Present “Giving Back to the Community” Mural Project.

Calling on all local artists to participate in the PG County Mural contest by submitting a mural drawing with the theme “Giving Back To The Community.” The artist with the winning design will be awarded a $1,000 prize for the mural design and will have a chance to work with Prince George’s County and the community in the implementation and completion of the final art work.
