The Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington Call: The Melody of Art

Juried exhibit for large-scale 2 dimensional abstract art for corporate environment in Bethesda, MD

Eligibility:  This is a juried exhibition open only to members of the DC Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art.  Non-members may qualify by joining both the WCA and DC Chapter prior to the application deadline via www.WCADC.org (click membership link).  Accepted Artists must be able to hand deliver work or make arrangements for someone else to do so.

Guidelines: This is a call for bright, colorful, abstract, non-representational, two-dimensional, wired, wall-hung art. No photographs or video. No art previously applied to, or shown at Serendipity Labs please. This venue is a commercial space that is looking for art that is in line with their corporate image and that will enhance their clients’ experience.  Artists may visit serendipitylabs.com to see past show examples of the art that complements their corporate image.

Minimum dimension: 24” x 30”; maximum dimension: 8’ on one side. Weight limit is 30 pounds, with a few spaces for up to 60 pounds. Members may submit up to 5 works with one image of each. The entry fee is $25. Exhibiting member artists will receive 100% of any sale proceeds. Interested buyers will be referred to the artist.

Digital Image Submission requirements: 

• File Format: jpeg only
• File Dimensions: 1920 pixels on the longest side of the work.  (If the digital image is of work that is vertical, then 1920 pixels should be used for the bottom side of the image.)
• File Resolution: 72 dpi
• File size: 2 MB maximum per image
• Color Space: RGB
