Artistry By 3 is a collaboration event that highlights the work of three artists working together as one.

Participating artists Pierre-Antoine Goho, Edwina Sage Washington and Sandra Davis have been part The Art Critique Group since 2009. Their mission is to create new work to share, discuss and encourage artist at all career stages once a month. As the group began to expand  individually as artists, they also expanded their knowledge and trust of one another collaboratively. Their first collaboration took place last summer at the Greenbelt Library, where the entire group was invited to participate jointly to create an image. The process of creating a seamless image where one artist begins and another finishes was largely based on trust.

“Collaboration is putting the thoughts of two or three artist together to make a beautiful piece of artwork.  It’s a difficult exercise to anticipate the thoughts of another artist. I didn’t want to put my prints all over the painting because I would have done a totally different painting without taking consideration of the other artist’s inner thoughts”  – Pierre-Antoine Goho.

“The adventure of the collaboration was a meeting of two creative minds that became as one” – Sage Washington.

The three artists that are participating in this exhibition, Pierre-Antoine Goho, Edwina Sage Washington and Sandra Davis, all of whom are local residing in Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Washington DC, respectively.

The exhibit runs January 30 through March 5th, 2016. It will be held at the Greenbelt Library 11 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
