The Abstract Artists’ Collective Presents Passion for Abstraction at Serendipity Labs

The Abstract Artists’ Collective is pleased to present a group exhibition of work by 16 painters at Serendipity Labs. Their Passion for Abstraction show will run through September 2018, with an artists’ reception Friday, September 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at 4500 East West Highway, Suite 125, Bethesda, Maryland (entrance on Pearl Street).

The 16 painters exhibiting in the show include Tory Cowles, Ann Corbett, Lauren Chelec Cafritz, Camilla David, Jennifer Duncan, Patsy Fleming, Eleanor Glatty, Marthe McGrath, Michele Morgan, Hester Ohbi, Debra Perkins, Jay Peterzell, Helen Power, Nancy Ramsey, Alicia Loudis Sommers, and Kathy Wiley.

Each of these exceptional painters brings depth and excitement to their work through their unique sources of inspiration and innovative use of colors, shapes, and textures. Their work is expressive, spontaneous, and energetic, reflecting their uncompromising passion for abstraction. The show is filled with diverse styles and vibrant work that is impressive and uplifting.

Galleries in the Washington, DC metro area as well as other areas of the country represent many of the artists in the show, who have won various prestigious awards for their work. Their paintings are owned by collectors in the United States and internationally.

About Abstract Artists’ Collective
The Abstract Artists’ Collective was formed by artists with distinctive approaches to painting who share a passion for abstraction. Its members include professionals who have been painting for decades as well as emerging artists. Many painters in the Abstract Artists’ Collective are represented by galleries in Washington, DC and other areas of the country. While each artist is influenced by different inspirations and interests, they are all passionate about using and layering colors, shapes, and textures in transformative, expressive, and spontaneous ways, drawing viewers in to experience their own meaning from the paintings.

The Passion for Abstraction painters will be present at the artists’ reception on Friday, September 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The show welcomes visitors Monday – Friday between 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
