Reception: Friday, March 25 from 7pm to 9pm
SUSPENDED INTER-SPACES will be on view in the Kaplan, Gibbs Street, and Common Ground Galleries through May 15. Join us for an onsite reception on Friday, March 25 from 7-9 PM and onsite artist talks and gallery tours on Saturday, May 7 from 1-3 PM.
The exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists and features 2D and 3D objects, performance, sound, and video that call upon surrealistic qualities, superstition, vigil, tension, polarities, and sacred practices. Through their work, the artists reveal the ways in which they immerse themselves in a space between their initial creative vision and its completed form.
VisAbility Art Lab is VisArts’ studio for adult emerging artists with autism and other disabilities who have a strong interest in making art a part of their professional careers. The Lab provides artists with a supported studio where they can explore and develop their artistic talents, participate in workforce development and life skills training, and forge a meaningful relationship with our creative community.
