Opening Reception: Saturday, August 8 from 1pm to 4pm

Art Enables, the area’s only art studio featuring work from artists with disabilities, is having their annual inventory sale. To make room for new work constantly being created by these fantastic artists, work that is a year old is marked down to 50% off and in some cases, more.

Art Enables’ artists have grown famous for their work often featuring unexpected takes on pop culture favorites, animals, and architecture already with a friendly price tag. This is a fantastic chance for those looking to dip their toe into the art collecting pool without a pricey commitment.

In keeping with the Dog Days theme, Pet Connect Rescue will be on hand with a few adoptable pups for you to meet.

Events include:

  • Opening: Saturday, August 8 1-4pm: Meet the artists reception
  • Free Arts workshop: Saturday August 8 1-4pm: Join Art Enables Arts and Programming Coordinator, Beth Baldwin for a self-lead pet portrait workshop. All are welcome to bring their own well-behaved and leash-lead pets to the studio to sit for their owners as they create a portrait of their beloved furry family members.

Art Enables hosts a workshop, the second Saturday of every month and invited participants of all ages and abilities to join in.

Off-Rhode Gallery at Art Enables is located 2204 Rhode Island Ave NE. For more information, visit 202.554.9455, or email
