From the artist:
“The core of my art lays in the synthesis of assemblage and secondhand components. I have created a montage of fragmented forms lyrical in movement and charged with emotion. It’s a peeling away of the surface to get to the heart of its spiritual transformation.”
“I use musical instruments and records to build a form of intimacy between myself and the viewer. I like the intricate design of clarinet and horns, even when deconstructed; they don’t lose their original intent. “Street Musicians” wear their truth on the outside: Their relationship to us is complex. Their issues can be wildly profound … causing us to avoid their gaze hoping for an opportunity to pass without notice … not wanting to negotiate with the observant eye.”
