This is the inaugural exhibition for City Line Studios, an artists’ community of ten women painters who share studio space in Friendship Heights. With varied styles from representational to pure abstraction, these seasoned artists have work in regional, national and international collections. Their distinctive work is influenced by roots in Europe, South America and Australia. They are former lawyers, federal and non-profit managers, corporate executives, psychiatrists, therapists, teachers, graphic designers and professional artists who are ready for the next chapter, sharing space, inspiration and a commitment to painting.
