Focus Gallery – The Arlington Artists Alliance all-media, juried art exhibit: Around the World features works of art depicting destinations explored~real or imagined~ visited by planes, trains automobiles or one’s imagination.

Juror: Leigh Culver, Ph.D/Art History and President of Potomac Valley Watercolorists

Main Gallery5-Year Anniversary Celebration/Members’ Show featuring paintings, collage, mixed media, photography, sculpture, matted prints, greeting cards, clay, mosaic, and glass art work, all for sale. Come and party with the artists.

In July of 2012 and in association with the Crystal City Business Improvement District (Crystal City BID), and Vornado, the Arlington Artists Alliance opened its juried members’ gallery, Gallery Underground. In 2015, Arlington Magazine readers’ poll named Gallery Underground as “Best Art Gallery”. Washingtonian Magazine and in Northern Virginia magazine have written about Gallery Underground. The gallery maintains a roster of about 40 members working in all media.

Featured Artist of the Month: Wen LePore, is an award winning painter. LePore’s lively landscapes, distinct abstracts and bespoke portraits include oil, acrylic and ink mediums.

First Fridays: Gallery Underground’s free monthly opening receptions are part of Crystal City’s Art Underground “First Friday” events where you can also jam at ArtJamz Underground, take a stroll along the Fotowalk, see what’s happening at TechShop, and catch Synetic Theater’s scheduled shows, Twelfth Night (July 13-Aug. 7). Restaurants and bars are all in walking distance.
