Baltimore Watercolor Society (BWS) Presents Signature Member Exhibit

The Baltimore Watercolor Society (BWS), which was founded in 1885 by a group of five women artists in Baltimore, MD and is now in its 133rd year.

The BWS is the nation’s third oldest watercolor organization, after the American Watercolor Society, founded in 1866 in New York, NY, and the Boston Watercolor Society, which was also founded in 1885 in Boston, MA.

Limited to original paintings created using aqueous media, the exhibit includes selected works created by artists from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.

The BWS is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization. Their mission is to encourage, educate, and promote professional excellence in the creation and development of original works of art, executed in aqueous media. They offer members many opportunities to exhibit their work and develop professionally.

The galleries are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 10 am – 4 pm and Tuesday & Thursday 10 am – 7 pm.
