Opening Reception: Saturday, September 10 from 6pm to 9pm

c. d. Edwards Studio presents a pop-up exhibit in studio 9 located at 716 Monroe Street, NE, Washington, DC 20017. The opening reception is September 10, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The exhibit will be up from September 10th until September 17th, 2016. The Artist is Tim Devenney, a mix media artist who will be exhibiting a body of work exploring light, color, shadow and play. Tim is a self-taught warm glass and sculpture artist. His process consist of assembling kiln fired glass elements to create sculpture and mixed media works of art.
Tim describes his work as follows:
“My art is less creation of new material and more manipulation of existing material. My exclusive utilization of castoff glass is a play on randomness, limitation and control. My creations are an exploration of the relationship between artist and audience the ough the storied embodiment of imagination, ingenuity, and narrative. My sculptures are thoughtfully assembled, provocative glass elements expressing simple vitality and intrigue toward challenging assumptions and expectations.”
