Capitol Hill Art League Hosts its First Juried All-Media Exhibit of the Season

Opening Reception: Saturday October 13 from 5pm to 7pm


The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL)  opens its first juried all-media exhibit of the season on at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, 545 7th St, SE. The juror, Michele Hoben will present her remarks and awards at 5:30 pm during the reception. The Wally Szyndler special award will be presented for 3D work in honor of the late artist and Capitol Hill resident Wally Szyndler.

Admission to the opening and exhibit is free. The exhibit runs until November 2, 2012.

About Michele Hoben
Ms. Hoben is a practicing artist, curator, architect, a faculty member of the Capitol Hill
Arts Workshop, and a Torpedo Factory Artist. She studied architecture and painting at the University of Michigan, The Art League and participated in workshops throughout the United States and Europe. She has participated in several solo and invitational exhibitions and received multiple juried exhibition awards.

The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) is a visual arts program of the Capitol Hill
Arts Workshop, which presents six juried shows of members’ work annually in all media. CHAL provides artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their work as well as providing professional services and networking.

Gallery hours areas follows:

  • Monday Through Thursday 9:30am to 9pm (M-Th)
  • Friday 9:30am to 6pm
  • Saturday 9am to 2pm
  • Closed Sunday
