The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL)’s new show, Untitled will be on display in the CHAW Gallery, from April 9th to May 6th, 2022.
This is the Art League’s annual Open Call show– which seeks entries from artists throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. This year’s call attracted nearly 100 artists and resulted in a show featuring 29 pieces representing a wide range of art media.
In addition to viewing the art in person at the Arts Workshop, the art will be available online after April 9th on the Capitol Hill Art League website “Exhibitions” section at: https://www.caphillartleague.org/
Juror, Will Fleishell, will discuss his selections and present awards at the reception. Mr. Fleishell has had a distinguished career as an engraver with the U.S. Department of Treasury. He carries over his skills to the prints he creates in his Capitol Hill studio with a 150-year-old printing press – itself a work of art. His creations include bookplates for Smithsonian exhibits.
He also teaches figurative life drawing at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, and paints portraits and landscapes. Will is a graduate from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
The following artist works will be featured in the show:
Anne Albright, Lillian Klein Abensohn, Amy Bandel, Sara Bardin, Jeffrey Berg, Grace Dobrow, Daniel Haas, Tara Hamilton, Lydia Hollingsworth, Vincent Iannacchione, Daniel Katz-Hernandez, Marta Legeckis, Robert Lipartito, Garine Magary, Kate McConnell, M.
