The Clay CoOp’s Director and Proprietor, John Christopher Landers, conceptualized Proximity to showcase the works from artists that live within a commutable distance to the studio. The show’s juror, Catherine White, selected pieces that highlight the diversity and individuality of the artists from the DC area. Within the scope of this show, one will see works that range from functional to sculptural and everything in between. This show will speak to artists and admirers alike, and will foster an environment for conversation and networking throughout the commutable network of ceramic artists.
Proximity will be held in the gallery at The Clay CoOp, and is open to the public. There will be finger foods and beverages provided for everyone to enjoy while connecting with fellow ceramic enthusiasts. If you are unable to attend the opening receptions, the show is available to view by appointment until the 25th of July. All of the work displayed during this show is for sale, and for those lucky individuals who do decide to purchase their favorite pieces; pick-up will be available by appointment after the show is dismantled on the 25th of July.
