Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex | Gail Shaw-Clemons Stick a Fork in Me, I’m Done

Opening Reception: Saturday, July 29 from 12-2pm

Gail Shaw Clemons is printmaker and mixed media artist presenting a series of 3D relief and monotype prints that are a progression back to color as a cathartic release from the time of the pandemic. During that time, she worked with colors daily in her prints with the goal of trying to create a new color. In working with color, Shaw-Clemons found it to be a healing and rejuvenating process that led to a new body of work. These prints were then manipulated into different forms and shapes to have 3-dimensional character and representing a new phase for the artist. Shaw-Clemons work is on display in the south lobby of the Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex (SAARC).
