The Athenaeum Gallery presents Coroto: Masks of Power, an immersive exhibition by Venezuelan artist David Camero. The exhibition will showcase Camero’s compelling exploration of Venezuelan tradition, politics, and symbolism through a thought-provoking installation.

Coroto: Masks of Power delves into the heart of Venezuelan heritage, that draw inspiration from the cultural celebrations during Corpus Christi in the Venezuelan town of Yare. Camero’s mask making work breathes life into symbolic representations of power, in reference with the current socio-political landscape of South America.
