Elizabeth Ashe – “The pandemic gave my mother and I time to talk about our traumas. I felt claustrophobic and isolated – a combination previously real, while hiking Montserrat. I began painting the mountain in acrylic on panel and left the sky empty. Mountains take on bruises, to examine domestic violence, bared strength, isolation.”
