These drawings are influenced by ThomYorke and Modest Mouse songs. On the best of days, I start by listening to music and making drawings in my sketchbook. I sketch in pen and ink, sometimes pencil. I use realistic figurative drawing to make sure my hand, eye, and heart are properly aligned.

dcac’s nano gallery was created to present small format art in a professional exhibition setting. We are committed promoting artists creating work, which because of its size, might not usually have the opportunity for a solo exhibit in a gallery situation. There will be four exhibitions annually in dcac’s nano gallery and they will be selected by DCAC’s Visual Arts Committee. Guidelines for submissions can be found on DCAC’s website. For more information contact our Gallery Manager at gallerymanager@dcartscenter.org

All events are free and open to the public and are at DC Arts Center (DCAC), 2438 18th Street NW. For more information call 202-462-7833, email info@dcartscenter.org, or visit dcartscenter.org.
