The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities presents the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Student Exhibition. The I Street Galleries, located at 200 I (Eye) Street SE, will house this annual exhibition as the historic Georgetown school building completes extensive renovations. Over 50 student artists within the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades will offer works reflecting their studies in studio arts over the current school year. At the helm of this project, Visual Arts Department Chair, Mike Easton and Instructor of Painting and Drawing, Melchus Davis, coordinated with DCCAH Curator Zoma Wallace to select at least one work of art to represent each student. This exhibition signifies an example of the District’s commitment to support and nurture the artistic expression in our youth.
The I Street Gallery is located at 200 I (Eye) Street SE, Suite 1400.
