Event: Saturday, December 7 from 12pm to 5pm
The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District (BID) and artist Ravi Raman announced today that he will exhibit his art at Cove (1666 Connecticut Ave. NW) on Saturday, December 7 from 12 – 5 p.m. as part of the 2019 Dupont Circle Holiday Hop-Around.
Raman is probably best known for his Love In Six Lines murals that currently grace the construction wall around the Dupont Circle Metro entrance on 20th St. NW as well as at 1737 Columbia Rd., NW in Adams Morgan.
“We’re pleased to feature Ravi and his art as part of the Dupont Circle Holiday Hop-Around,” said Colleen Hawkinson, Executive Director of the Dupont BID. “The holiday pop-up co-locates artists and makers in neighborhood retail shops to promote shopping in greater Dupont Circle.”
The Holiday Hop-Around will feature approximately 20 vendors selling everything from jewelry and pottery to paintings and scarves to ferns and succulents, ideal for holiday gift giving. Pop-up shops will be located inside retail shops, allowing visitors to check out fine art, imported food, and much more as they stroll through the Dupont Circle neighborhood.
Additionally, event volunteers will distribute “passports” and maps at the Dupont Circle Metro – North exit on Q St. NW. Shoppers who visit 10 of the designated pop-up locations and have their passports stamped will be given free admission to the Christkindlmarket at Heurich House Museum.
The holiday pop-up is organized by Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets, and sponsored by the Department of Local and Small Business Development, the Dupont Circle BID, Dupont Festival, La Tomate, and the Heurich House Museum.
