Events BKE a local DC event production company responsible for hosting creative events such as DC Swim Week announced this week that they will be hosting a month long group art exhibition during the month of October at the L2 Lounge in Georgetown.
The event is part of an ongoing art series called “Next Stop” that Events BKE began hosting in early 2018 to showcase ground breaking talent in the art and culture world.
October’s event titled “Imagine Color” will feature emerging abstract artist Allan Flott (Flott Art) who is a local Arlington native. Flott will be showcasing his latest series titled “Love and Hate”, and examines his exploration of the meaning of love and hate, and discussing his transition from the fashion and design world to art.
“I wanted to explore the meaning of love and hate and how they intersect through my design process. Each piece in the series is tied to one of these emotions and has its own unique narrative that is structured through the movement and intersections of the colors chosen.”
The launch event will take place on 10/4 from 6:30-9:30pm and will feature Allan Flott alongside four other supporting artists. The gallery location will be open for the entire month of October.
