Join VisArts Sunday, September 24 as four dynamic, forward-thinking artists present projects for micro-grant funding at F.E.A.S.T. at VisArts 2017.

This year’s theme, Envision 2040, challenged thinkers, artists, and organizations to envision the future. “While the city of Rockville grapples with its master plan for the year 2040, I thought that getting artists to imagine the future was a good parallel adventure,” says VisArts Gallery Director and Curator Susan Main.

F.E.A.S.T. at VisArts 2017 (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics) is a public meal designed to use community-driven financial support to democratically fund projects that use art and creative thinking to impact the community. Diners listen to and review a series of project proposals and converse with the artists and thinkers behind each idea. Attendees then cast a vote for their favorite proposal.

VisArts is located at 155 Gibbs St., Rockville, MD.
