Sarah Salomon: Solitudes
February 22 – March 15, 2020 // Stone Tower Gallery
Solitudes explores urban isolation and how individuals create self-imposed solitudes to combat depression, shut out sensory overload, or rejuvenate their sense of worth. Salomon’s exhibition highlights ways in which we withdraw to a private inner place where no one else may venture, a nurturing place for healing and rebuilding. Salomon invites audiences to experience the ways in which people seek out solitude in crowded urban settings. Viewers will witness the outward appearance of these people, while their ethereal and spiritual nature remains an enigma.
Saturdays & Sundays, 11am – 6pm
Advocacy & Activism Through Art
February 22 – March 15, 2020 // Park View Gallery
In this group show featuring works by Kathryn Jo Ottman, Christi Friesen, Judy Kearns, and L. Anjanine Kvale, Advocacy & Activism Through Art explores the expressions of artists as community activists and advocates. As we face the harsh realities of fractured systems and institutions, they express their individual views, concerns, and hopes for our cities, states, and country. This show aims to inspire kindness, compassion, and understanding while asking the viewer to pause and reflect on the ways to address the current social climate.
