Featured Artist of the month: Karen Cohen/Photographer and Digital Artist

DC resident, photojournalist and award winning photographer, exhibits PHANTASIZE, dreamscapes, mystic muses and imaginary places. Cohen’s work was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame library archives in 2012.

Gallery Underground’s Focus Gallery will feature the group show There’s No Place Like Home. Home means so many different things…a smell, a touch, a place, family, friends, food, a memory. Using colored pencil as the primary medium, The DC Metro-Washington Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America illustrates thoughts of “home.”

Gallery Underground Members are also exhibiting new and original paintings, sculptures, glasswork, mosaic art, jewelry, photographs, mixed media and clay artwork along with greeting art cards and matted prints. Members’ work changes monthly so be sure to stop in every month.

Gallery Underground is located at 2100 Crystal Dr., Arlington, VA. For more information, visit
