Fourth Annual Downtown Hyattville Arts Festival on East City Art

This year, EYA, Pulte Homes, Streetsense and the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation are hosting the Fourth Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival along Route 1 and Jefferson Street on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 11am to 5pm.  Over 50 local visual and performing artists, along with craft and jewelry vendors will gather along neighborhood streets in the Arts District Hyattsville – the DC area’s hottest new townhome community inspired by the talented arts district in Hyattsville. The afternoon will feature performances by musicians, dancers, and street performers, and guests can stroll the sidewalks to view and purchase artwork by DC Metropolitan-area artists.


The 2011 Hyattsville  Arts Festival is located at 5500 Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) and Jefferson Street in Hyattsville, Maryland

New this year:

  • Free shuttle from West Hyattsville Metro station, courtesy of the City of Hyattsville
  • The retail town center shops are now open featuring Busboys and Poets, Tara Thai, Elevation Burger, Chipotle, Yogi Castle, Essentials Day Spa and Big Bad Woof.
  • The Lustine Center gallery will be open with artdc’s 12×12 show featuring over 150 pieces of art for sale.
  • Kid’s tent will feature face painting, arts and crafts alongside Joe’s Movement Emporium’s exhibit space.

Mix and mingle with talented local artisans and enjoy live performances on the streets of Arts District Hyattsville, just two miles from DC. Admission and parking are FREE.  Delicious food and drink available from Busboys and Poets, Franklin’s Restaurant & Brewery, Chipotle, Elevation Burger, Tara Thai, and Yogi Castle.

Parking and Metro Shuttle:

Arts District Hyattsville is a 25-acre mixed use revitalization of historic downtown Hyattsville, Maryland.
