This is a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire an original fine art print by one of America’s leading artists.
At least 30 works will be on exhibit at Frame Savvy. They were created in collaboration with artist and master printer, Curlee Raven Holton who began working with Driskell in 2003. To date, the two have created more than 40 print editions together.
One of the world’s leading authorities on African American Art, David C. Driskell is highly regarded as both an artist and a scholar. Driskell curated the groundbreaking exhibition Two Centuries of Black American Art: 1750-1950 which was foundational in the field of African American art history. Prof. Driskell joined the faculty of the Department of Art at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1977 where he taught until his retirement in 1998. He was named Distinguished University Professor of Art in 1995.
In 2000 Prof. Driskell was honored by President Bill Clinton as one of 12 recipients of the National Humanities Medal. In 2001, the University of Maryland established the David C. Driskell Center to honor Prof. Driskell as an artist, art historian, collector, curator, and scholar.
Painter and master printmaker, Curlee Raven Holton is the founding director of Raven Fine Art Editions. His paintings, drawings, and prints are held by major museums and collections in the U.S. and abroad. In 2014, he was appointed executive director of the David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora at University of Maryland, College Park.

A portion of the sales will benefit the David C. Driskell Center at the University of Maryland, College Park.
