beachKraft Gallery and Studio will be presenting two artist exhibitions in the month of July, 2024.

Sandy Spring, Maryland resident James Thomas will present a selection of photographs printed on metal for his exhibit, “Sunrise, Sunset”.

James has been taking photographs since 1959 and working with them on Computers since the early days of Photoshop.

“With respect to computer generated art, I like to think of the artwork as already being ‘in the Computer’, it’s just up to me to get it out! I do not use ‘AI’,” says the artist about his work.

The artist participated in the first photography exhibit ever shown at the Sandy Spring Museum, has received a Grand Prize for photography at the Montgomery County Fair, and has shown at several local galleries in the DMV. Prints of his photographs will be available on metal and professional grade photography paper and will be a limited edition of 100 pieces.

Olney resident and Frostburg University senior, Gage Adam will present a selection of work from his past year of study. Gage has had work selected and shown in Frostburg’s juried senior exhibition and “The Holy Art” exhibition in Athens, Greece during 2024.

Gage’s work is darkly emotive and is informed by managing “mixing emotions, impurity within my own mind, and overall, the perfection of imperfection,” says the artist.

The beachKraft is proud to present this emerging artist’s work for a second showing as he pursues his creative endeavors.
