Gallery NK Hosts Window To Burundi

Opening Reception: Thursday, March 26 from 6pm to 9pm

Come experience Burundi through the lens of photographer and filmmaker Chad Bartlett. The photographs explore the resilience of a people recovering from a period of politically fueled ethnic conflict. The reception will feature a rare glimpse into the lesser-known East African country, bordered by Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. As Chad reveals his photographic print edition, join others in attendance, including Ambassador H.E. Ernest Ndabashinze of Burundi. The Opening Reception is being held on March 26 from 6 to 9PM, and Artist Talk and Burundian Coffee closing event on April 17 from 4 to 8PM.

Chad Bartlett is a Washington, DC-based documentary photographer and filmmaker interested in exploring closed communities and ethnic enclaves in the U.S. and abroad. His photography and film work may be seen at: www.chadbartlettphoto.com.
