During April, the Arlington Artists Allianceis proud to present Featured Artist James Bellows. Woodworker James Bellows utilizes reclaimed wood from eco-friendly lumber in Catharpin, VA which he evolves into bowls and platters, each produced one at a time by hand. Bellows does the rough work with a chainsaw, then moves to grinders and sanding for the end product. The character, shape and individuality of each piece attempts to reveal nature’s beauty one bowl at a time.

Also presented in their Focus Gallery is Out of Place, their member show featuring works evoking places, real and imagined, that evoke a sense of being slightly out of place from the norm, including paintings, photography, sculpture, glass, metalwork and woodworking.
