Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery Presents Elixir: Artists Respond to Making and Healing Group Exhibition

Curator and Artists’ Talk: Saturday, September 22 from 3:30pm – 5:30pm
Healing Arts Workshop: Saturday, October 6 from 10:00am – 2:30pm

The Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery at 1632 U St., NW, Washington, D.C. will host Elixir: Artists Respond to Making and Healing a group exhibition featuring works that illustrates each artist’s personal healing journey through art making. Whether emotional, physical, psychological or spiritual, the stories depicted here in various mediums speak to the power of art and healing.

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibit runs from September 13th through October 20th, 2018. Programming includes a Curator and Artists’ talk with Schroeder Cherry joined by participating artists, as well as a Healing Arts Workshop conducted by Sobia Ahmad. Visit site for details:
