marcia wolfson ray: archiTERRA
June 7–July 28, 2019
Marcia Wolfson Ray is a Baltimore-based sculptor inspired by nature and the relationship humans have with the earth. Her archiTERRA exhibit presents the evolution of wood as art, and the experience creates a new environment, one that reflects the inter-dependency humans and the natural world have with each other. Ray hopes that when visiting the exhibit, the viewer experiences the deep-seated beauty in nature.

Lori Ulmer-Hanson
June 1 – June 30
Lori Ulmer-Hanson is an American artist best known for her artwork derived from the human form. She creates her work using a diverse array of media, including bronze, stone, and clay, with each medium having different characteristics and requiring varying techniques. Figurativism may best describe Ulmer-Hanson’s works — particularly her sculptures, where her strong suggestive references and tacit understanding of abstracted shapes are clear. Although sculpture remains her principal medium, she also works in 2D as a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer.
