Artist Reception: Saturday, November 13 from 6pm to 9pm
Three exhibitions at miXt Food Hall include:
The Corner Space: Place Making, paintings by Jodi Ferrier. Jodi Ferrier is a DC artist whose contemporary paintings lie somewhere between abstraction and representation.
The Outer Wall: Memories Fade, collages by Leilah Holtzman. Born in Washington, DC, Leila moved many times throughout her life and lived for ten years in the deserts of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. These formative experiences influence her continuing interest in natural forms and in the meaning of living in multiple cultures and homes.
The Loft Gallery: Water Works, Oils and watercolor paintings by Barbara Mandel.
Barbara is a painter and art/museum educator, and her favorite painting subjects are local landscapes, especially Montgomery County farms and the Potomac River.
True to the developer of Studio 3807 Contemporary Apartment’s vision and commitment to the community, miXt Food Hall is a wonderful addition to alternative exhibition space in the heart of the Prince George’s Gateway Arts District. We are honored to be a continued resource for artists to show their work. There is something for everyone here at miXt. The three exhibitions Place Making, Memories Fade, and Water Works, are curated by John Paradiso, Portico Gallery.
