Reception: Friday, November 6 from 7pm to 9pm
Using a narrative of social engagement to generate conversations, George Lorio’s work comments on ecological destruction and renewal. Sculptural work is created from fallen trees, branches, and bark. Trees are used as a metaphor for healing and regeneration. The tree bark, in particular, resembles the skin of the human body as it conforms to the tree and regenerates year after year.
