Event: Saturday-Sunday, September 4-5 from 11am to 5pm
VisArts presents the 9th Annual Rockville Arts Festival, Saturday-Sunday, September 4-5, 2021, 11 am-5 pm in Rockville Town Square. Admission is free.
“The Festival is a natural extension of our mission to transform individuals and communities through the visual arts. Art brings people together – it sparks conversation, inspires creativity, and heals the heart and soul,” says VisArts Executive Director Alice Nappy.
Throughout the weekend, VisArts will transform the streets surrounding Rockville Town Square into a vibrant outdoor gallery full of fine arts and crafts, live music, ceramics and plein air painting demonstrations, and artisanal foods. VisAbility Art Lab, VisArts’ supported studio for neurodivergent adult artists, will have a booth.
“The Festival offers art that will appeal to the casual shopper as well as the serious collector,” says Festival Director Robin Markowitz.
Festival goers will discover a diverse group of 140 master artists from 22 states who work in ceramics, drawings, fiber, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood, and mixed media. They’ll also be able to shop and dine at Rockville Town Square retailers and eateries.
