No Kings Collective Presents Hustle 2.0 A Group Exhibition

No Kings Collective, the Washington, D.C.-based artist collective and creative agency, in partnership with the LAB@1270 and Warsteiner,  will open Hustle 2.0 on Friday, May 13, 2016. Hustle 2.0 is a reincarnation of the artist collective’s show in 2015 celebrating the city’s artistic core, providing commentary on the current state of working artists.  This sophomore project will boast a design-oriented showcase of typography, 2D works, multimedia, sculpture and prints from a community of local working artists, including Kelly Towles, Tim Conlon, Andy Fernandez, Kate Warren, Miguel Martinez, Typecase Industries, Superwaxx, and Ralston Yorrick.

“There are incredible artists living and working in the nation’s capital–a tough place to make it as an active artist–and that’s what this show is all about, collaboration and showcasing the hard work and real hustle that has built all this energy and creative renaissance,” says Peter Chang, co-founder of No Kings Collective.

Hustle 2.0 is part of a two month pop-up and partnership with the LAB@1270 across from Union Market. Month one featured the successful exhibition of No Kings Collective co-founder and artist Brandon Hill.  His first solo show in six years, THE BEASTS OF ENGLAND / Animal Farm was an installation heavy reinterpretation of Animal Farm by George Orwell, including a mash-up of large painted works, wood sculpture and creative retail.

Hustle 2.0 opens on May 13 with a grand opening event from 7 to 11 pm and will run through June 5.
