I have often thought George Bernard Shaw’s famous line, “Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach” as a great line for a play, but not true to my lived experience. I have always admired artists who teach. This exhibition pairs artists who teach with artists who were their former students. In addition to four local artist/teachers, I am fortunate to include four artist/teachers from my hometown Albany, New York who were influential in my artistic development. – John Paradiso, Curator
