Opening Reception: Saturday, July 6 from 5pm to 9pm

Closing reception: Sunday, July 28, 3 to 5 p.m. (Meet the artists!)

During July 2019, TAG/The Artists Gallery presents “Studio Scrub” a unique exhibition from the collections of TAG artists. Featured will be the private studio works of TAG artists who are scrubbing their studios and pulling treasured pieces from archived boxes that they are finally willing to share. The public is invited to hunt though the artist’s curated and award winning art. This is an opportunity to see what lives in the artist’s studio.

Boxes of art will be turned into installations filled with TAG artists creations. Visitors are invited to participate in this happening by searching through these boxes to discover art treasures to add to their own personal collections.

“This is a unique opportunity to see TAG artists’ work some of which has never been shown outside their studios,” says Marie Riccio president of TAG/The Artists Gallery. “We are very excited to share this work with our community.”

“This show is a great chance to present pieces that depict all of my interests, from birds and myths to old houses— and maybe even a train wreck or two.  Since I’ll be sampling from several series, some of the work will appear together for the first time,” says TAG artist Julie Maynard.

“I am personally looking forward to the opportunity to show my collage paintings from my retrospective show at The Parkersburg Art Center,” says TAG artist Cathy Wilkin.

Participating TAG artists are Colleen Clapp, Don Coomes, Marion L. Griffin, Sarah Higgins, Richard Jenkins, Kim Klabe, Michael Kraniski, Julie Maynard, Jan McIntyre-Creager, Jim Mitchell, Karen Peacock, Marie Riccio, Thomas Ritchie, Mark Rothkopf, Tom Semmes, Rhonda Smith, Patricia Stockman, Christine Stovall, Marc Weinberg, and Cathy Wilkin.

All artworks will be priced between $9.99 and $999.99 and will include paintings, photos, collages, three dimensional objects and more.

Meet the artists at the opening reception on July 6 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm with live music and sweet treats, and the closing reception on Sunday, July 28 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
