Layering video within video,  All that we see or seem, explores the ways in which our personal histories amass to create the interpretive frameworks for how we live in the world, and the density of narrative that we each bring to both the profound and mundane. – Tim McLoraine

Winter, the world turns, light recedes, and darkness expands

a portal appears, beckoning like a curved hallway,

a space in time,                                                  an intimate place

The cradle-like nature of these dark months nurture

contemplation, solitude, growth, and transition.

On view January 2 through January 23,2016. Curated by Lisa Rosenstein.

*Tom Gree taught at the Corcoran for 40 years. He retired in 2009. On September 3, 2013, he died of Lou Gehrigs disease.
