Opening: Friday, September 14 from 6pm to 8pm
Ingredients features paintings by David Carlson and photographs by Slobodan Mitrovic that explore details of Carlson’s work.
The exhibition came about after Mitrovic asked to photograph the work of Carlson, an Arlington-based artist and Marymount adjunct professor. Mitrovic, an archeologist and the exhibit’s curator, said his photographs could be considered archeology of Carlson’s artistic process. Close-up images highlight brush strokes and show how the paintings evolved during the creative process.
