Karl Burke is an interdisciplinary artist and active musician whose practice includes sculpture, sound, installation works, photography and film. Exhibiting both nationally and internationally, his work is concerned with our relationship to and perceptions of our three dimensional world and endeavors to form a physical and emotive relationship between the art object, space/place and the viewer.

Karl has been in DC for two weeks performing interventions and documenting them with photographs. For this exhibition, he will be showing a selection of these as well as similar photographs he has been taking in Ireland. His exhibition will also feature a video piece, spatial interventions as well as one of his three-dimensional “wooden drawings” which involves the placement of uniform lengths of processed wood in various situations in a particular environment.
