This project focuses on the complex relationship we have with our nutrition and its healing influence upon our lives. Increasingly,we have turned towards organic or natural products and the restorative powers of healthy eating. However, in an effort to manage hectic schedules in our shifting global environment, we at times also indulge in over-processed, “improved” or chemically enhanced products that flood our markets offering options unheard of even a decade ago.

With mixed media works and installations the artists in this show examine the ideas and philosophies around various interpretations of food in the everyday context, and seek to discover the role of nutrition in the healing processes and wellness.

The opening reception will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibit runs from January 18, 2019 – March 30, 2019. Programming includes a Curator and Artists’ talk with Maria Karametou and a Cooking Program with Elsabe Dixon, Maria Karametou, Fabiola Alvarez Yurcisin. Visit site for details:
