Join The Center for Green Urbanism Tubman-Mahan Gallery for the second ReCreate exhibition focused this year on water –sustainability of our lives locally and globally. ReCreate: H2O will take place at The Center for Green Urbanism Tubman-Mahan Gallery, 3938 Benning Road, NE, Washington, DC, October 10 – November 11, 2011
The exhibit, ReCreate: H2O recognizes the important role water plays in our lives, encompassing social, economic, cultural, and environmental issues. Artists interpreted the water theme by reflecting on its role individually and on a global scale and how they would recreate their world to make it better.
ReCreate: H2O will begin the celebration at the Opening Reception on Friday, October 14, 2011, 6:30-8:30pm at The Center for Green Urbanism, in Washington, DC’s Ward 7. The event will feature music by East of the River Boys and Girls Steelband and light refreshments.

Additional ReCreate: H2O events will all be held at The Center for Green Urbanism as follows:
- ReCreate: H2O, art exhibit, featuring the work of local artists, October 10 – November 11, 2011. The Center is open for viewing Tuesday-Friday, 10-5pm and weekends by appointment.
- The opening reception on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 6:30-8:30pm will feature the East of the River Boys and Girls Steelband and refreshments.
- Coffee with the artists of ReCreate: H2O, Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 6:30-8:30pm – bring your own mug and hear about the artists’ inspirations and work.
- Water in the Neighborhood event, film viewing of F.L.O.W. (For the Love of Water), DC Water presentation on water and sewer projects in the District followed by a discussion, Saturday, November 5, 2011, 11am-2pm

About The Center for Green Urbanism
The mission of the Center for Green Urbanism is to create a business-friendly environment that provides startups with affordable office space and business services in a sustainable and energy efficient green demonstration facility.
