About the Performers
Malibu likes it hot! She is a steaming blend of naughty and the girl-next-door but with a twist…of course! She doesn’t take herself too seriously but commands the stage. Her acts range from mesmerizing or comedic fire play to colorful blacklight or LED performances. Malibu is a founding member, co-producer of Tilted Torch and has been lighting up stages across the globe, every where from DC to Costa Rica and every place in between. How appropriate that Malibu learned to
play with fire on the beaches of Belize.

Miss Joule has plenty to choose from in her bag of tricks. From burlesque and fire performance to sideshow and circus acts, you never know what Miss Joule will bring to the stage. According to the Washington Post, her “hips move in ways you never thought possible” and What Weekly was “thoroughly entertained.” Miss Joule was also featured in the book “Weird Virginia,” has performed all across North America and Asia, and is co-founder of Tilted Torch.

Jonathan Burns always thought he was “special.” He combines comedy, contortion, and stunts unlike any other and in the words of Jay Leno he is “very impressive.”

Maureen Andary writes short, sweet songs on the ukulele. Topics include: prescription drugs, imperfect love, and codependency. Prepare for drama and laughter.

OuiOui Nonnon hails from Paris where she has stunned audiences for decades with burlesque renditions of humankinds’ trials, errors, and triumphs. Inventive storytelling fused with dark humor and plenty of skin, OuiOui Nonnon is the speakeasy’s special house cocktail – bawdy, intoxicating, and unlike the rest on the shelf.

Shortstaxx, Tilted Torch’s femme-cee extraordinaire, keeps the show rolling with her witty, comedic and bawdy patter. Always imaginatively costumed, sexy Staxx femme-cees with gusto, lustily talking up the next act or riffing spontaneously on audience-yelled commentary. A local burlesque star and experimental theatre veteran, Shortstaxx has garnered attention for her innovative, creative, sometimes outrageous but always unique burlesque acts. She also co-hosts the burlesque/variety/art game show Loteria de Amor at DC’s Red Palace and is a member of the new Baltimore-based theatrical burlesque troupe Sticky Buns Burlesque.

Stella Sweet is burlesque’s Good Girl, except when she’s not. Miss Stella Sweet comes to us all the way from the Aloha State where she performed with the Cherry Blossom Cabaret. This curvaceous cutie exemplifies the art of the tease. Stella brings her bubbly brand of charm and titillation to the DC stage and can currently be seen performing with Twisted Knickers Burlesque.

About Tilted Torch
Miss Joule and Malibu have been performing separately for over ten years. By combining their love of fire and performance art, Tilted Torch was ignited. Tilted Torch is a fire variety show based out of the Washington, DC area that has been exciting audiences for nearly two years. As the Washington Post put it, Tilted Torch is “everything you never knew you wanted.” With over a dozen productions to date, each show features an amazing cast that is artfully skilled in
acrobatics, circus arts, dance, burlesque, comedy, music, and of course fire.
