Event: Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 from 10am to 8pm

Under One Umbrella is a global website that brings people together to explore different cultures and celebrate diversity by supporting artisans from around the world. The pop-up will showcase unique home decor, apparel and accessories from designers in India, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, among others. To launch their website, they will be raffling off a fabulous surprise! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local immigrant rights organization.

A Book Hill Holiday takes place Saturday December 14th, 4-8 pm. Stores, galleries, restaurants and cafes along Book Hill (Wisconsin Avenue, from Reservoir Road down to O Street), will stay open late, offering complimentary refreshments, hands-on events and festive promotions. Live music will feature the Santa Lucia singers, Santa will be inviting photos at TD Bank, and a holiday trolley will shuttle visitors up the hill from M Street.

As part of Georgetown GLOW, the annual light sculpture event, Book Hill will install Cloud Swing, lit nightly from 5 pm, consisting of two swings suspended from a glowing cloud structure, in which color and light are created as you swing through the air.

Across the street, in front of Klagsbrun Studios, GreenMoonArt will feature a light figure that seems to draw itself as it emerges from the darkness, in a rainbow of changing colors.

Klagsbrun Studios, at 1662 33rd Street (intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 33rd) will hold Open Studios as part of A Book Hill Holiday, and is delighted to host Under One Umbrella on its covered and heated patio.

At 1662 33rd Street you can warm up with creamy cup of homemade chai, browse the selections of exotic crafts and gifts, enter the raffle and spend time with the artists of Klagsbrun Studios, behind the scenes of their creative magic!
