Josie Vosoba, a well-known and beloved artist in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, spent the past year traveling and painting “en plein air” in Portugal, Spain, and France, capturing the essence of nature in her unique style. Known for her extensive paintings of Rock Creek Park, Josie has a talent for capturing her passion for place using light and color. Her small paintings were created on-site, using sheets of loose linen, allowing her to easily pack and bring them home, and to finish the paintings on site quickly before the light changed. Come see her best work from this incredible year of travel. She has also added to this collection with a few larger pieces recently created in the studio, inspired by her plein air works.
Josie is a copyist at the National Gallery of Art, exhibits regularly in her Mt. Pleasant neighborhood and is a graduate of the Compass Atelier. The modern and versatile Signal Financial City Center Location, with its spacious and inviting atmosphere, is known for it’s commitment to community engagement, event hosting, and art exhibitions, making it the ideal venue for this much-anticipated event.
