WSS invites artists and visitors of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels to help us celebrate the artistic and cultural diversity of the District by creating a self-portrait and participating in our live exhibition exploring perception, voice and identity through drawing and the written word. Throughout the evening, self-portraits will be tacked onto our gallery walls with the aim of creating a powerful reflection and amalgam of the District’s artists and residents. Join them for the closing reception of this interactive exhibition Friday, August 2 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Light refreshments, mirrors and art supplies will be provided. This event is free and open for all.

Washington Studio School is located at 2129 S St. NW. For more information, visit: www.washingtonstudioschool.org/special-events
