Exhibition of paintings by Varvara Agabekova at the The Yellow Barn Studio at Glen Echo Park.

Artist Varvara Agabekova will have a show at The Yellow Barn Studio at Glen Echo Park on June 18th and 19th of 2022. The gallery is open between 12 and 5 pm on both days, with a reception on Saturday, June 18th at 5 pm. Admission is free.

Varvara Agabekova was born in St. Petersburg in an artistic family. Both her grandfather and father were artists and so she began her artistic life at a young age. She went on to study at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of professor V.V.Zagonek. In 2011, she graduated from the Academy with highest honors and began her career as an art teacher. In the same year she became a member of the St.Petersburg Art Union.

Varvara has featured her works in many group and solo exhibitions. Among them are a solo exhibition at the museum of artist I.Brodsky and exhibition «Far from large cities» at the Art Union of Saint-Petersburg , the international group exhibit «Realism without borders» in Los Angeles, exhibitions in San Diego, and the International Plein Air in Pietramelara, Italy. This year she is taking part in exhibitions in Rockville, Maryland, and Blue Hill, Maine. In May 2022 she had a solo exhibition at St. Francis Episcopal Chursh, Great Falls. Varvara’s paintings are in private collections across the world.
