Touchstone Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Join Touchstone for the opening of the annual MiniSolos. 38 mostly regional and emerging artists will exhibit a wide breadth of work in various media. For details, click here.

Saturday, August 8

Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The museum shuttle will take visitors to local artists’ homes and studios to get an inside view of their process. This month guests will visit Greta Chapin-McGill and Gallery Serengeti. For more details and to register, click here.

Art Enables – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dog Days of Summer is the annual inventory sale hosted by Art Enables. The artwork created by Art Enables’ artists will be marked down 50% for visitors to purchase. Guests can also participate in a portrait workshop. For more information, click here.

Hamiltonian – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Hamiltonian welcomes artists Adam Ryder and Dan Perkins to the gallery this August. Ryder uses found objects and photographs to expose a conspiracy while Perkins’ landscapes remove humans and depict solitary scenes. For details, click here.

Art Whino Gallery – 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Unnatural Habitat features the works of Aaron Martin and Jesse R Yu. Both artists explore the creatures from the animal kingdom, while applying their individual and unique styles to their interpretations. For more information, click here.
