East City Art has partnered with Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts (WALA) to help artists understand how to:

1. Form a business (non-profit or for-profit)
2. Understand copyrights and trademarks
3. Contract and negotiation skills
4. Taxes
5. Understanding the grants process
